Good evening:
Today was a lot better in the drop off dismissal.
This morning, the car riding  students were in school and the car line was gone by 840.  Thanks.  We plan to have the line up tomorrow and have adjusted  line dismissal  to groups.  We have also adjusted our supervision.  The students getting out quickly and walking on the sidewalks is working better too.  We will continue to monitor and adjust the process.
There were fewer cars today, following the first day with many more drivers and walking students into school.
We are pleased that students are in classrooms with teachers rather than being held in the gym with classes moving to the rooms at roughly 845.  The opportunity for kids to not be sitting on the floor while their teachers were out in the lots is also a plus.  School started with instruction much earlier than in the past.  Having kids in the classroom is good.
We changed the afternoon dismissal to filling multiple lanes and all cars were gone by 4pm.  That is consistent with what we had experienced with past dismissal.
Buses were on time and all worked well with both drop off and dismissal.
Again thanks for your support and care with the kids.
