Dear OES Families,

We are well on our way to another great school year at OES.  Our students, teachers and families are working extremely hard in creating a school culture where our students feel safe and can grow and succeed.  OES students are showing great character and enthusiasm for learning every day and it takes us all working as a team to make this happen.  Let’s keep up the good work.

Morning Arrival Process and Afternoon Dismissal

Please remember, our first priority during the arrival and dismissal process is student, parent and staff SAFETY.  Additionally, please remember that our safest and most efficient method of transportation is by bus.  All of our bus drivers are owner/operators and are diligent in delivering our students safely.  When you feel comfortable, please consider allowing your child to take advantage of this option.

For Car Rider ARRIVAL, please remember the following for safety:

Buses have the right-of-way.
All cars must take the first right turn and then go to car rider line or enter the parking lot at the far end of the parking lots.  We want all parking lot traffic to flow in one direction.
Stay in your lane, and stay off Cell Phones
Follow directions of staff members
All students exiting cars must walk forward (not between cars)

For DISMISSAL, we have 4 options for students to go home:

Car Rider (must have Red and White Car Rider Tag)
SACC (After Care)
Walkers (McKenzie Farms Subdivision residents only)

If your child needs to change their method of transportation, the parent or guardian must provide a written note to his or her teacher.

Cafeteria Monitors needed

We currently have 2 positions open at OES.  These positions assist during the lunch periods as well as other duties.  The positions are part time and are a great way to “get your foot in the door” to possible full time positions at OES in the future.  Please visit to apply.
