Hello, my name is Taylor Watts and I teach 2nd grade. This will be my 9th year teaching, 9th year at OES, and 9th year teaching 2nd grade! I spent my childhood imagining myself as a teacher teaching my younger siblings everything I could. My extended family always used me for their personal  babysitter and I enjoyed every moment of it; even to this day. Teaching is my absolute passion!

I grew up in Ooltewah, Tennessee where I attended Wallace A. Smith Elementary for Kindergarten through 5th grade. I then attended Hunter Middle for 6th-8th grade before graduating from OoltewahHigh School in 2005. In May of 2010, I graduated from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga with a Bachelors in Early Childhood & Elementary Education Pre-K through 3rdgrade with an endorsement in Special Education. During my high school and college education, I worked as a childcare provider at Belvior Christian Academy (formally known as The Lutheran School). Then I became a teacher. While teaching, I graduated from Lincoln Memorial University with a Master’s Degree in Administration & Supervision in December of 2013.

Now, I live in Ooltewah with my husband Nick, our daughter Eliza, our son Gentry, and 90 pound Weimaraner Graycie Lou. I enjoy traveling, playing with my kids, and being with friends and family.

I am excited to make this my best year yet!
