Greetings from the Principal

Bethanie Reynolds

My name is Bethanie Reynolds,
and I am thankful for the opportunity
to serve as the principal of Ooltewah Elementary School!

I began my teaching career as a 4th grade teacher at Clifton Hills Elementary School, and later taugh
t 3rd and 5th grade at Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts.

In 2015, I became an assistant principal for Hamilton county schools, and I served as an assistant principal at Battle Academy (2015-2016), Hunter Middle School (2016-2019), and then Ooltewah Elementary School (2019-2021).

In May of 202
1, I was selected to be the Principal here at Ooltewah Elementary School. Ooltewah Elementary is an incredible community with awesome teachers, positive and supportive parents, and a caring and excellent faculty and staff.  I am excited and energized by the thought of all of the great things that lie ahead for Ooltewah Elementary School.  Additionally, I am convinced that there is no better place to teach, learn, and grow than Ooltewah Elementary School!

About Us

Welcome to Ooltewah Elementary School. The students and staff are very proud of our school and the quality education that is available for all students.

The learning environment is structured so all children have an excellent opportunity to be successful. It is a nurturing and safe environment where the goal for our children is to become life-long learners and to discover that education is the most powerful tool to improve the quality of their lives. The children are excited about learning because the curriculum is rigorous, relevant and provides the best possible opportunity to succeed academically and socially.

Parents are an integral part of their children's learning process. If we work together to build partnerships between home and school, children will be more successful academically, understand the value of working together and have a sense of belonging and being part of a learning community.
